Our journey began with a shared dream: to introduce the world to the extraordinary artistry of India’s local artisans. Driven by a passion for handcrafted treasures and a commitment to empowering economically marginalized women, we founded Greensteps. Our mission is to create a platform that celebrates their talent while providing sustainable livelihoods.

Meet the passionate individuals driving Green Steps forward. Aneesha Hussain, our visionary Founder and HR Head, brings a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted love for the Northeast. Pinashi Dipanka Khataniar, our Co-Founder and Marketing Head, leverages her marketing expertise to create a sustainable impact. Chandasi Baruah, our Designer and Master Printer, infuses tradition into contemporary design. Paromita Sarkar, our Asst. Designer, transforms childhood dreams into fashion-forward creations. Rita Moni Kalita, our Head Seamstress, turns passion into profession with remarkable skill. Rehana Begum, our Accessorization Manager, discovered her talent and now leads with confidence. Together, they form the heart and soul of Green Steps.

We breathe new life into the rich heritage of North East India by imprinting its timeless designs onto ethically sourced Eri Silk and other handwoven fabrics.
